Finger Lickin' Good, Messin' With Sasquatch, & Strengthen Your Low Back

Happy Friday from under the Iowa 80 truck stop sign in Walcott, Iowa ⛽

Here's 1 healthy fast food meal, truck stop snack, and exercise you can do in your truck, out of your truck, or at home - Hope you enjoy!

1 Healthy Fast Food Meal - KFC

Yup, even at KFC you can find healthier options!

If you pick the ✅ meal, you would save….

1,285 calories, 83 grams of fat, and 174 grams of carbs…

Side Note - A&W Root Beer Zero is one of my favorite diet sodas ever. It's caffeine free, so you can drink it whenever and not have to worry about it messing with your sleep!

1 Healthy Truck Stop Snack - Beef Jerky

You don't have to mess with Sasquatch to find beef jerky out on the road! It's high in protein, easy to store in your truck, and can be found at nearly any truck stop!

One downside of beef jerky is that it can be one the expensive end of snack options....

1 Exercise - Bodyweight RDLs aka Romanian Deadlifts

This is a great exercise to start building strength and mobility in your hips, low back, and hamstrings. The cue I use to help drivers get the hang of RDLs is "soften your knees slightly and push your butt back".

The goal of this exercise is to keep your back straight, bend your knees slightly, and get your chest parallel with the ground! You can do this while pumping gas, waiting for your next load, or even seated in your bunk with your feet on the ground!
